BRICK x BRICK Studio is a local art-for-charity organization that integrates art and kindness. Founder Rachel Edelstein created this business from the ground up, painting on the weekends, marketing a brand whose goal is to help people in need on a local level. These portraits of row houses — a familiar, beautiful, defining element of our city — become a way to give back to the people of DC who need our help the most.

A capsule collection of six watercolor paintings depict townhouses and row houses, all painted by Rachel, and all inspired by original photographs captured by local DC photographers. After the immense success of this first grouping of prints, BRICK x BRICK released the DC Icons Collection featuring four watercolor prints of iconic DC architecture. Every dollar of profit made from the sale of these prints is donated to Calvary Women’s Services, a DC-based homeless services organization. This project is about the big picture. It’s about a labor of love, about using your interests and passions to add more goodness into the world.
