Joy is a watercolor of a DC townhouse in an array of oranges and blues. Based on a photo captured by DC-based Andrew Jorgenson, this was the very first painting I completed for this capsule collection. In selecting photographs to paint from for the release of the first round of prints for BRICK x BRICK, the modern perspective and joyous colors of this scene made it hard to resist.

All proceeds from the sale of this print will be donated to Calvary Women’s Services, a charity dedicated to empowering homeless women in Washington, DC to transform their lives through housing, health, education, and employment programs.
